Information we collect

Depending on your request, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, property type, pest type, description of the situation, availability, photos and any information you choose to include in a form or conversation with our team. We collect only what is reasonably needed to understand the request and arrange service.

How we use information

We use information to respond to quote requests, communicate with you, schedule inspections or treatments, provide preparation instructions, follow up, document service, answer questions, process access or correction requests, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Consent and withdrawal

By voluntarily submitting information, you consent to its use for the purposes described here. You may withdraw consent by writing to mike@drxpestcontrol.com. Withdrawal may limit our ability to respond or provide service and does not require deletion of information that must be retained for legal, dispute-resolution or transaction-record purposes.

Service providers and communications

We may use technical providers needed for hosting, email, security, forms and routing service requests. Providers receive only the information needed for their function and must handle it under applicable contractual or legal duties. We do not send marketing email or SMS without separate consent.

Retention and destruction

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, customer relationship management, business records and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize or securely destroy it, subject to applicable retention requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including access controls, encrypted communications where available, evaluated providers and need-to-know access. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your rights

Subject to legal exceptions, you may request access to your information, correction, withdrawal of consent, cessation of dissemination or destruction where permitted. Contact Michael Altit at mike@drxpestcontrol.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by Quebec law.

Privacy incidents

If an incident creates a serious risk of harm, we will assess it, take reasonable steps to reduce the risk and provide notices required by law. Urgent questions may be sent to mike@drxpestcontrol.com.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, providers or legal requirements. The effective date will be shown on this page. The version published when information was collected applies to that information, subject to legal requirements.
